Air Borne Adlershof
On the grassy areas of the Aerodynamical Park in Berlin-Adlershof, 15 ellipsoid bodies equipped with loudspeakers were installed in a loose spatial relation to the surrounding industrial monuments and university buildings. Trillian both installed and networked them.
These sound-emitting bodies play over a thousand ambient sound pieces all being part of a composition which is greatly overstrechted temporally in interplay with its spatial context.
Our challenge was to develop indestructable mechanics combined with weatherproof electronics.
The sound-emitting bodies are all linked by a BUS and transmit a daily status message about their "well-being" to us via GSM.
